Heavy Metals Panel

Toxic metals like lead, mercury, cadmium, and arsenic can build up in your body over time through food, water, and everyday environmental exposure — often without obvious signs until the burden becomes significant. The Heavy Metals Panel uses urine analysis to measure both toxic metals and essential minerals, giving you and your doctor a clearer picture of what's accumulating, what may be depleted, and how well your body is processing and eliminating what it's been exposed to.

What's measured?

This test screens for 42 markers across three categories:

Physiological Minerals — minerals your body needs to function, measured to check for depletion

  • Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Zinc

Trace Minerals — elements needed in small amounts, which can become problematic at elevated levels

  • Boron, Chromium, Cobalt, Copper, Germanium, Iodine, Lithium, Manganese, Molybdenum, Nickel, Rubidium, Selenium, Strontium, Vanadium

Toxic Metals — metals with no safe biological role that can accumulate and cause harm

  • Aluminum, Antimony, Arsenic, Barium, Beryllium, Bismuth, Bromine, Cadmium, Gadolinium, Gallium, Lead, Mercury, Palladium, Platinum, Silver, Tellurium, Thallium, Tin, Titanium, Tungsten, Uranium, Zirconium
Who should take this test?

If you've been experiencing symptoms that don't have a clear explanation, or if you know you've had exposure to metals through your work, diet, or environment, this test can help identify whether toxic metal accumulation is a contributing factor.

Symptoms

  • Persistent fatigue or low energy
  • Brain fog, memory issues, or difficulty concentrating
  • Mood changes or unexplained anxiety
  • Numbness, tingling, or nerve-related symptoms

Environment

  • Regular exposure to industrial settings, older buildings, or contaminated water
  • Frequent consumption of high-mercury fish
  • Living near mining, smelting, or manufacturing sites
  • Use of certain dental fillings, medical implants, or contrast agents (MRI dye)

Medical History

  • Previous known exposure to toxic metals
  • Ongoing unexplained illness that hasn't responded to standard treatment
  • Working with a provider on a detox or functional medicine protocol
  • Wanting to understand your full toxic burden alongside other testing
