The Environmental Mold and Mycotoxin Assessment (EMMA) provides not only a look at which species of mold are present in your home but also what, if any, dangerous mycotoxins they are releasing into the air you breathe.

Combined with our full Mycotoxin Panel, which is completed with a noninvasive urinary sample that can be collected at home, this gives you and your healthcare practitioner a full view of not only your own health, but at the root environmental causes that could be leading to your symptoms.

Testing couldn’t be easier, with the EMMA only requiring a small cut out of an HVAC filter or a swab of dust from an area you can see or suspect mold to be present. The kit is packaged with two sterile swabs and a sterile piece of gauze to use for collection of a sample. We can merge up to three swab or filter samples to run combined as a composite result, otherwise each sample will be treated and charged separately. The mycotoxin test, meanwhile, is a simple urine test that can be collected at any point in the day safely and conveniently.

What Are Mycotoxins?

Mycotoxins are toxic metabolites produced by fungal organisms, commonly known as molds. Mycotoxins are well documented in high quality peer-reviewed scientific journals to have a wide array of toxic effects in humans.  RealTime Laboratories’ dedicated team of doctors and scientists have thoroughly researched these compounds and determined the most clinically significant mycotoxins and secondary metabolites for testing.
Building upon this research, RealTime Laboratories utilizes a semi-quantitative competitive ELISA platform to determine the presence of 16 clinically significant mycotoxins.
